Our Pastors

Pastors Michael and Valery Kyker

Michael Kyker is the Lead Pastor for Vision and Teaching at Journey Church Tampa. He founded the church in September of 2005 along with his wife, Valery. Michael graduated from the University of Central Florida with his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He continued his education at St. Andrews University and graduated with a Master of Letters in Bible and the Contemporary World. Valery Kyker graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Jewish Studies. They currently reside in North Hyde Park with their four children. In his free time, Michael enjoys running and reading. Valery enjoys crocheting and collecting plants.

Movement Eldership Team

One of the greatest joys of this team is that they have been together for a very long time-- some 25 years, and some 10. Together with our pastors, this team supports the vision for the church and oversees the leadership and direction for the JCT movement.
